~ what we collect ~

Privacy Notice

We collect nothing. Here's what that means.
Effective April 25, 2026
The short version

We collect nothing. The Site does not store, sell, share, or transmit any personal information about you. There is no email signup, no analytics tracker, no advertising cookie, no behavioral profiling, no fingerprinting. The only things kept anywhere are your spin count, saved idea list, and age-banner confirmation in your own browser's localStorage, which never leave your device.

1. What We Collect

Nothing personal. The Site does not collect, store, or process any personal information about you. There is no email signup, no account, no payment, no form fill of any kind that touches a server.

Stored on YOUR device only (never sent to us)

Spin counter. When you press the Spin button, your browser may keep a count in localStorage. This data never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data resets it. We never see it.

Saved ideas. If you click "Save locally," your browser may keep a short saved-idea list in localStorage. This data never leaves your device. Clearing browser data for this site deletes it. We never see it.

Age-gate confirmation. Your one-click "I am 18+" confirmation is stored in your own browser's localStorage. We never see it.

Standard server logs

Like any website, the hosting provider (Netlify) may log incoming HTTP requests including IP address, timestamp, request path, user-agent, and referrer for routine operational purposes (security, debugging, capacity planning). The operator does not analyze, retain, sell, or share these logs. They are subject to Netlify's own privacy and retention policies.

2. What We Don't Collect

3. Sharing

We have no personal data to sell, rent, lease, trade, or share. We do not maintain mailing lists, marketing databases, or any record of who visits the Site.

4. Your Rights

Because the Site does not collect or retain personal information about you, there is no record to access, correct, delete, or port. Data-subject requests under CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, UK GDPR, VCDPA, and similar laws are functionally satisfied by the fact that no data exists.

If you ever believe we hold information about you, the answer is: we don't. The age-gate confirmation, spin counter, and saved ideas live in your own browser's localStorage and are deleted by clearing browser data for this site.

5. Children & Minors — Adults Only Site

SpinStacks is intended exclusively for users who are 18 years of age or older. A soft age-confirmation banner is presented on first visit. The banner stores only the user's local browser confirmation and does not create an account, collect identity information, or operate as a server-side access-control system.

The Site is not directed at, marketed to, or designed for children under 13 (per COPPA), minors aged 13 to 17, or users in any jurisdiction where the age of digital consent exceeds 13 (per GDPR Article 8 and similar laws).

Because no personal data is collected, no record of any minor having accessed the Site can exist. If a parent or guardian believes a minor in their care has accessed the Site, the appropriate remedy is to prevent further access and clear the browser's localStorage for this site.

6. Data Security

HTTPS is used for all connections. The Site itself stores no personal data, so there is no personal-data breach surface. Hosting provider (Netlify) maintains its own security posture for incidental server logs, subject to Netlify's own policies.

7. Changes to This Notice

We may update this notice. The "Effective Date" at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance.

This Privacy Notice is not legal advice. It was drafted as a reasonable good-faith effort to comply with U.S. CAN-SPAM, California CCPA/CPRA, and EU/UK GDPR core requirements for a non-commercial novelty website. Consult a licensed attorney for high-stakes interpretation.
